September got off to a flying start with all our programmes being booked out throughout the week. It is wonderful to be supporting so many people, but is also a sad refection on the mental health of our population, especially when so many accessing the farm’s service are under the age of 18.

The farm is now being used by Pupil Referral Units across the coastal strip of NE Wales with sessions being booked out into the spring time with pupils travelling from as far as Rhyl. Our Natural Pathway programmes are person-centred and each of those attending can guide the way the sessions run and choose from a wide range of nature-based activities to suit their needs and feelings on the day.

We are delighted to be in a situation to be able to support these young people who are struggling to access mainstream education, and already can see positive changes as they settle into the farm’s activities. We are now looking for ways to be able to expand our facilities and services to allow more groups to gain from these sessions.
